Chef Speth visited us in March as one of the participating chefs in the Bernard Loiseau Culinary Festival 2013. Having worked his way up through the kitchen of the Chesery since 1984, Chef Speth was rewarded in 1998 with a Michelin star and again in 2005 when he was named Chef of the Year by GaultMillau.Chef Speth believes in simple, uncomplicated cuisine based around the very best ingredients from the most basic vegetables and spices to the finest delicacies. With a love of seafood he creates dishes using techniques from French, Italian and even Asian cuisine."

In November 2013 Robert Speth was invited in the Hotel Constance Le Prince Maurice and in the Constance Belle Mare Plage Hotel in Mauritius. Here he cooked two evenings in the Restaurant Barrachois and in Deer Hunter for the guest from the hotel.

Le Prince Maurice is a lovely, small and quit 5-star hotel with 2 adjoining Golf courses. If you want to play golf in the afternoon, your golf bags and car are already waiting for you with some drinks and the golf course is quiet in the afternoon, because most of the players have already played their 18 holes (in the heat).
